Tell us a little about yourself
Having cystic fibrosis makes running difficult. So why do I do it? I started running as a personal challenge to run a marathon. Through the ups and downs of a grueling sixteen-week training schedule my reasons expanded. I run for a cure and to raise awareness. I run because it helps to keep my lungs clear. I run because I can. I run for my family. On particularly difficult days I push myself to run to defy CF and prove that it can’t beat me. I run for everyone affected by this disease, the patients, the parents, the siblings; we can beat this. I may not be the fastest runner but it’s not about the time it’s about the journey.
